Blue and Brown in the Living Room

A great color combination is huge in the success of a room. I've always been a huge fan of Blue and Brown together. Together they are super chic and both are neutrals, so it's really easy to add pops of other colors in the room.

Custom Wallpaper: StopDrop, Hampton Blue, Spring Grass, Classic Brown, Large Scale.

For starters, I'm so in love with the StopDrop pattern. It's a slightly mod pattern (but certainly not over the top) and the blue, green and brown color way really makes it shine. There's definitely no denying that with a color way and pattern like this; you're going for a certain look - but isn't that the point? Don't be afraid of making a statement. I recommend using this wallpaper for an accent wall. The wall in an entry way is a great place to make a huge statement.

24-inch Drum Pendant Light: Chocolate Linen. 10-inch shade length. White Canopy, 4.5-foot white cord. Optional Diffuser.

A great addition to help tie in the Blue and Brown colors is with a lamp. It'll help make sense of the space. A great thing about custom pieces is that you know the color of the lamp will match the colors of the wallpaper perfectly.

Press Release: Wallpaper Just Got Personal

Wallpaper just got personal!
-New product launch by Alluminare.com provides cost-effective, fresh contemporary designs-

(September 9, 2009 – Atlanta, Ga.) — The recession may have tightened your wallet, but there are still affordable and creative ways to spice up your home or office space with personalized design.

Alluminare.com now offers a simple, easy way to customize wallpaper by choosing from a variety of rich traditional and contemporary patterns created by up-and-coming designers. With a single click, patterns can be enlarged or made smaller. And through the process, viewers can even see their designs pictured on a wall. Thousands of color combinations can be chosen from a palette of beautiful hues. Starting at just $8 per square foot, each custom order is manufactured in the United States.

“We live in an amazing time for design,” said Friday Shamblen, of Alluminare.com. “The whole process of design comes alive with online customization. And with custom wallpaper, it is now possible to design and create an entirely coordinated look from lamp shades to pillows and fabrics, and now, the walls. The best part: you’re going to be the only one who has your personalized look. It’s all you.”

Alluminare.com commissions patterns from designers around the world. One of the most recent designers to create exclusive customizable patterns for Alluminare.com is Rachel Cave, a UK freelance fashion fabric and print designer who has been featured in Elle Decoration and Design Week.

“The patterns that I created are bold and colorful. They have a retro twist, inspired by 1960s and 1970s prints,” said Cave. “I enjoy creating patterns for interiors, home wares and fashion. By partnering with Alluminare.com, people can bring these prints into their home or office and create wonderful spaces they will enjoy for years.”
