How to Choose The Right Pendant for Your Room

Pendant lighting is really great for just about any room. One of the most important rooms for lighting is the bedroom. That's the one room that you spend the most amount of time with your loved one and you definitely don't want to end up in bad lighting! Also, it's a room that you need to be able to relax in and let's face it- lighting is key for relaxation.

For a bedroom, I'm huge on symmetry. A great way to achieve symmetry is by placing matching lamps on each side of the bed, and Pendant lamps are perfect for that. These 14-inch Drum Pendant Lamps are perfect for the sides of your bed. Smaller is better when it comes to suspension lamps in the bedroom. The bed should always be the focal point and you simply want to accent that with your lighting.


The next important room, is the living room of course. This is where you entertain a lot and also where you can sit back and relax after a days work. Most people wouldn't automatically picture a suspension Pendant Lamp for the living room, but you'd be surprised at how great it looks. There are several options for Pendant Lamp placement in the living room. First, just like my post last week, I recommend a large 24-inch Drum Pendant Lamp for the living room. A neutral color like white is great, because it's not going to distract from the television, wall hangings, or furniture. It will simply add great ambiance to the room.


The second option for the living room is very similar to that of the bedroom. If you're a fan of symmetry like I am, then this is the option for you. Simply hang two 14-inch Drum Pendants on each side of your couch and they will provide plenty of light, especially if you love reading in the living room.
