Chocolate has been called "the new black" and looks fabulous with a loads of other colors---blues especially. If you are looking for ways to bring the look of chocolate brown into your home, we have some ideas for you (and not just lighting!):
- Chocolate's richness is best expressed by pairing with light colors. Yellow, sandstone, white, sage and cream are great partners to chocolate, and of course, don't forget about pink and pale blue.
- Leather can be a grown-up way to incorporate chocolate into your color scheme. Rich, long-lasting, and very adult, leather is a classic.
- Go natural! Tie in your chocolate with natural materials: sisal, wicker, rattan, bamboo are perfect to keep chocolate grouneded and refined.
- Try chocolate in a sea of white: understated white is brought alive with punches of dark, rich chocolate.
- Keep your floors natural---warm natural stones, granite, travertine are the way to go when using chocolate as a decor element.
- Wallpapers can be added in natural materials to bring in a modern, asian look. Grasscloth wallpaper and bamboo blinds have little flecks of chocolate in them, and will add sophistication to your room.
