Do I Choose a Square or a Cylinder Pendant LightI am stuck! I have a round dining table and my dining room is part of the entire house -- you can see it from other rooms. I have a lot of squares in the room (like my tableware, other lamps, and other furniture) and I like squares. Should I get a square instead of a cylinder pendant? This is a difficult question to answer! Square pendants lend a strong sense of geometry to a room -- the angles are interesting and a bit more modern. However, cylinders are the classic choice for rounded table shapes like yours. We've tested this ourselves just for fun. In the end, we really like the cylinder pendant over a round table: the pairing is very chic and balanced. We found a square pendant over a round table to be not quite as harmonious, although it can work in certain situations.
